A 4 day excursion from Djerba to experience the classic cities of Leptis Magna and Sabrata as well as the sights and souks of Tripoli.

Day 1 Pickup from your hotel in Djerba or the Libyan border. Continue to Tripoli. On arrival, check into Al-Kabir Hotel overlooking the Mediterranean. Commence sightseeing tour of Libya's capital city including the excellent National Museum, Green Square, the 18th century British Consulate, the 17th century French Consulate, Church of Santa Maria, the Arch of Marcus Aurelius and the old town with its souks and mosques..

Day 2 Continue sightseeing tour of Tripoli. After lunch, drive to Gharyan to visit a troglodyte home. Overnight at the Rabta Hotel.  

Day 3 Full day excursion to the magnificent Roman city of Leptis Magna with its Theatre, Baths, Temples, Forum, Basilica, Nymphaeum and Amphitheatre, and to the Villa Celine, home of a Roman nobleman. Return to Tripoli.

 Day 4  Leaving Tripoli, visit another superb Roman site, the ancient city of Sabrata with its stunning Colonnaded Theatre and mosaics. Afterwards, return to Djerba or the Libyan border.
